Userbox request - September 29, 2023

[edit]

@JoeNMLC:Greetings, Asking for Userbox - Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub improvement, I cloned{{User WikiProject Buses}} (I'm a great cloner). The wikicode with "pre" ishere. This may or may not be correct, and I know zero knowledge about how to install the right way. So I'm asking for your help. Thanks,JoeNMLC (talk)22:14, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Looks great, I played with your first box changing "| info-a = {{{info-a|center}}}" to "| info-a = center." You could add a border-s value to change the thickness of the surrounding box and I made the Wiki letter bigger since I'm vision impaired. Example:
This user is amember
of WikiProject Stub Improvement.

  1. The next step is to create a new page entitled "User:JoeNMLC/Userboxes/whatever you wanna call your userbox" and paste your code there.
  2. Then you can link to the page using {{User:JoeNMLC/Userboxes/whatever you named your userbox}}.

If you get stuck, let me know. Here are your other two boxes just to admire:

Hi Annwfwn, Thanks for doing this request. Two things, the "br" needs to be moved to the left of the word "of"; the two-color shade appears on left side but is transparent on right side of the userbox. Is it Ok to create this as subpage ofWikipedia:WikiProject Stub improvement so it's with the WP instead of me?JoeNMLC (talk)00:30, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yeah, all those weird spaces. How does it look now? And yes, the project is fine to use, you can use a Wikipedia project, template or a user.Annwfwn (talk)00:52, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Done - Thanks Annwfwn for your help. Now I will create the Userbox subpage at the wikiproject. Regards,JoeNMLC (talk)03:06, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
* Update - I did create Userbox as a Template, not subpage & it's Ok. FYI, those Userbox colors came from "Bubble colors" forStub-class. Before it's archived, I did copy/pastehere of that color spectrum. Regards,JoeNMLC (talk)18:39, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Avannaata Qimussersua

[edit]

Hi Annwfwn! Your draft is great, much better than mine. I think this time they cannot reject submission. Regarding your questions, the list of the winner was taken fromde:Avannaata Qimussersua, I did not realise that the source was limited only to 2017. We can remove the last 7 years for now. However fromhere we can see that in 2021 the race was won by Kristian Lundblad and in 2023 by Milan Mathæussen.Regarding the other paragraph, here are the info on the founder[1]WikiCheshireCat (talk)09:01, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiCheshireCat awesome, thank you! I have extended confirmed access so I've gone ahead and pushed the page through, I encourage you to continue to add toAvannaata Qimussersua as it's a unique race and dogsledding in Greenland in general are quite different and fascinating compared to the rest of the world!Annwfwn (talk)15:16, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
