I was posting successfully as an IP up until 3 January. Now, when I try to edit, I get a notice that states that
Editing from 2001:8004:0:0:0:0:0:0/32 has beenblocked (disabled) byNinjaRobotPirate for the following reason(s):
Instead of reasons, there follows a box that says to log in. Yesterday, I posted amessage above to the editor who welcomed me (I dream of horses and to the blocking admin (NinjaRobotPirate), with no response yet provided. I think thatthis is the relevant block log entry, showing a month-long block imposed on 26 December. So, I don't know I could edit on this IP and makeover 50 edits after the block was imposed. I don't know why it is stating an IPv6 range that I have been caught in despite being on a IPv4 address. I don't understand how it has happened that I've gone from able to edit to unable to edit ages after the block was placed, nor how v4 and v6 IP addresses interact to catch a v4 address in a v6 range. I do know its frustrating as I wanted to address what I consider as a BLP issue - listing a non-notable person in an article on a prison simply because his father was a notable criminal (multiple murderer). I get that I can make an account but don't really want to go down that route. Can an admin please help me, either with some answers, or an unblock, or ideally both? Thanks,172.195.96.244 (talk)02:34, 11 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Glad to see you're still on this IP! Was afraid I'd missed you.--Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she|they|xe)21:49, 26 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm honestly not totally sure of purpose ofWT:ACN so I could be off base here but, if you had a lengthy critique of me as an editor, I'm more likely to consider that feedback if it's on my own talk page. If I were an editor who had just been warned by ArbComm about bludgeoning, I'd feel totally unable to respond at all to your 613 word post in that forum without again being too wordy. While the talk page doesn't make it private, it does give it more of a 1-on-1 focus. -RevelationDirect (talk)02:32, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
