Thesquire is an alumnus of theUniversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, having received aBachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences in Molecular and CellularBiology from UIUC'sCollege of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2006. After working a stint in a research lab, he is currently studyingnursing as a graduate student atDePaul University inChicago. He recieved hisEagle Scout award in2002, and has spent many summers working atOwasippe Scout Reservation. Thesquire is prone to edit minor typos that he comes across, as well as any page that relates to his university, vocational or avocational interests, or things he just knows stuff about. As an adherent ofdeletionism, he is predisposed to revert or remove crappy edits rather than completely rewriting them, and willvote for deletion without batting an eye. Thesquire's preferred method of finding articles for deletion is to use theRandom article function. In this way, he hopes to help ensure that those unencyclopedic articles which somehow made it passed those Wikipedians onRecent changes patrol will eventually be deleted.

    User's stance on blog articles

    [edit]

There are a number of noteworthyblogs out there, which influence public andpolitical thinking within the US and around the world. Chances are, blog X is not one of them. I have no problem withDaily Kos or, gag,Little Green Footballs having articles in wikipedia but, unless you'reDuncan B. Black orGlenn Reynolds, your blog doesn't belong here.

User's stance on U.S. school articles

    [edit]

I belong firmly in the camp that mostHigh Schools, if they do not merit their own articles, should at least take up a large segment of the page of their district or the their town. In fact, there are many places in the US where more can be said about its high school than the rest of the town combined. Private high schools, especially those that effectively serve as magnet schools for a local area, are also significant and deserve their own articles.

Elementary andMiddle Schools/Junior Highs, collectively known asgrade schools, are mostly cookie-cutter institutions. If you've been to one, you've been to them all, and instruction generally doesn't vary between schools, especially between schools in the same district. While there are some grade schools that are notable due to major events that happened in them or otherwise involved them (Monroe Elementary School being the best example I can think of), the vast majority of grade schools aren't significant enough to merit their own articles, and at most should have a word or two put on their district's or town's article.

Also, just because I consider High Schools to be notable doesn't mean that I think that a highschool merits fifty-bazillion sub-articles. Those I have no problems merging or deleting.
