I have long been shy about saying too much on this page, but probably with detective skills most could figure out that I am ahealth professional living inMontreal. As someone with an interest in language and communication, I am very intrigued that other editors have assumed I am a 'he' when I'm not. Do I use a register in my internet posts that appears male? Or is it just because most editors here are male? Scope here for someone else's PhD perhaps.
This is my hobby so I tend to edit articles that take my fancy and have no connection to my professional and academic background. I haven't always succeeded however! Articles to which I have made major contributions are a very bizarre mixture that reflect my eclectic interests, including some subjects I had no interest in at all until I waded in to help other editors in the middle of a dispute. I hope I did help!
