I've also got a talk page in Latvian - only looked there for refs. Strange. I've also edited once on the Breton and once on the Marathi Wikipedias (adding links).
Been here a bit now. Been there a lot longer. I'm a writer, book editor/producer, musician, and trivia addict inter alia. (Hi, Alia!)

This user now has one computer (retired but still functional) with Windows 2000Pro, two with XP Pro, and two with Windows 7. (One tower on 2000, two towers on XP, and a laptop and a tower on 7.) (The XP Pro and 7 are set to Classic View.)
This user has tried Windows 7 on one machine, but finds it trying and has adopted the classic view. He now has some software that won't run on anything before 7, and some that won't run on 7 and later. He is trying to find a way of getting rid of Libraries without having to go into the registry. He does not want Windows 8 at all, having looked at it. 10 hasn't been investigated yet, but the look of it isn't liked.
This user is looking for an easy way to remove Outlook Express (which is languishing in chains in an XP dungeon for making a nuisance of itself). He hasn't found it in Windows 7 yet.
This user doesn't have Microsoft Office any more (that machine died), but uses OpenOffice instead (and installs it for other people too).
This user (shock, horror...) has not got a working TV (or a licence). Please do not try to give him one. A refusal may (no, will) offend.
This user drinks real ale, real cider (in fact most ciders that don't say 'Original' or 'white' on the label) and, when the weather's right (or the food's extra spicy), real lager (i.e. Samuel Smith's, and certain Continental ones such as Czech and Polish). He does not of choice drink 'beer' that comes from little fizzy taps (Worthington is just about passable in an emergency situation). He does drink lemon tea and iron brew. (Note: cider is alcoholic and is made from apples. If it's non-alcoholic, it's apple juice. If it's made from pears, it's perry. Real perry is nice. Small bottles with foil tops and little deer on them are not 'real' perry.) When in France, he will drink the lager (preferring Affligem to the lighter ones), but really likes Pelforth (a friend described that as chewy). He ish n0t an alkiefrolic.
This user is not a rapper, which may put him in a minority.
This user roasts parsnips. (He also roasts carrots.)
This user rejects violence against women, but reserves the right to defend himself.
This user does not count the articles he's tagged for speedy deletion or weighed in against on AfD. He prefers to remember (but not count) those he's helped to survive, and is saddened by some of the junk that has to be removed. (A bot of some sort counts the articles he nowadays deletes, but some of them are deleted because the author asked. Most aren't.)

There is now an article onBragod who aren't heavy or metal either, but are like nothin' else you've ever heard, and on theEnsemble Clément Janequin who are too (some kind person has written that one now!). There is an article on3 Mustaphas 3, so he doesn't have to write one on them.Ergo Phizmiz andPeople Like Us have just been discovered by this user - why not before? (Don't answer that...) A new one on the collecting list isSigur Rós. An even newer musical like isPhat Bollard who may never get an article, but you never know...
