I'm happy to have been recognized for my contributions to Wikipedia. If you're interested, you can look atmy Wikipedia awards collection. I'm proud of the more than 100 articles I've worked on that have beenfeatured in "Did You Know?" or recognized as "Good" articles. Since December 1, 2008, I've been a holder of theadministrator mop.
I am originally fromAlabama and currently live inTexas. I'm also a member of theAlabama WikiProject andWikiProject Texas. I collect books, autographs, science fiction convention memorabilia, and Texiana. My literary tastes run to science fiction, mysteries, satire, and space science.
I am a former washed-updisc jockey who worked atradio stations that no longer exist. I broadcast under my own name as well as the airnames 'Scott Montgomery' (my idea) and 'Skip Church' (not my idea). Yes, "Skip" had the Sunday morning shift before the syndicated countdown show. Surprisingly, the station received no complaints.

For the record, I am not now nor have I ever been amajor league baseball player in California, a minor league hockey player in New Hampshire, an American history teacher in Alabama, or theSlovak ambassador to the Vatican. What I'm getting at is that there are more Draveckys in the world than you realize and I'm probably not the one you're thinking of.
I enjoy creating, updating, and expanding pages about radio stations, science fiction conventions, the U.S. space program, articles related to theApollo 1 astronauts, obscure television series, pageant contestants, articles related tonorth Texas, shopping malls, and other random items that pique my interest. A former proofreader and technical writer, I also try to correct formatting and grammatical errors when I encounter them to give Wikipedia a more professional polish. I feel strongly about adding defaultsort tags where needed to allow lists to be properly alphabetized.
I'm working to thoroughly improve all of the articles for radio stations in Alabama to clean them up, make sure they all have complete infoboxes, format categories, proper referencing, and FCC data, and try to get them all to at least Start class or better.
I've declared a personalProject Visine to "get the red out" of the lists of radio stations in the United States.
I've been creating content in obscure areas (like "Slowpoke Rodriguez" cartoons and 1970s television) in addition to my usual work. I've been gnoming away on a variety of articles, including radio stations and other neglected topics. I am working to complete the overhaul of Alabama radio station articles to current standards while creating new articles for significant radio stations across the United States.
Some neglected articles aboutscience fiction fandom, especially in Texas, should get some attention. Detailed WikiProject Radio Stations tasks like sorting, creating, and categorizing continue. There's still plenty more WP Alabama work to do, too.
For the record, I am no longer actively involved with the operation ofWP:DYK although I still believe in the project and have resumed submitting articles for consideration.
