Theureteric bud, also known as themetanephric diverticulum,[1]: 50 is a protrusion from themesonephric duct during thedevelopment of the urinary and reproductive organs.[2][3] It later develops into a conduit for urine drainage from the kidneys, which, in contrast, originate from themetanephric blastema.
