Untitled is a 1969bronze sculpture by artistSidney Gordin, installed outsideSan Francisco'sLouise M. Davies Symphony Hall, in theU.S. state ofCalifornia.[1]
The abstract sculpture, installed at the corner ofVan Ness Avenue andHayes, outside Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall, measures 8 ft. 5 in. x 5 ft. 8 in. x 4 ft. 3 in. It rests on a concrete base measuring approximately 16.5 in. x 11 ft. x 11 ft. The sculpture's plaque reads: "SIDNEY GORDIN / AMERICAN born Russia, 1918 / UNTITLED / 1969 / bronze / San Francisco Art Commission".[1]
Untitled has been on extended loan to the Hall since 1981, and was previously on loan to theSan Francisco Museum of Modern Art. The artwork was surveyed by theSmithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1993.[1]
