Unlucky Lottery was aprofessional wrestlinglive event produced byExtreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) on September 13, 1996, the night prior toWhen Worlds Collide. The event was held at The Flagstaff inJim Thorpe, Pennsylvania in the United States.[1][2] A recording of the event filmed byGabe Sapolsky was released onDVD.[3][4][5]

Event

The event was attended by approximately 400 people.[1] The referees for the event were Jim Molineaux, John Finnegan, and John Moore.[4]

The opening bout was atag team match pittingthe Bad Crew againstBuh Buh Ray Dudley andHack Meyers. Dudley and Meyers won the match, simultaneously pinning both members of the Bad Crew.[3][4]

The second bout was asingles match betweenJohnny Smith andSuper Nova. Smith won the bout by pinfall using aTiger Driver.[3][4]

The third bout was asubmission match betweenLittle Guido andTaz. Taz won the bout by submission using theTazmission.[3][4]

Sabu defeatedRob Van Dam in the main event of Unlucky Lottery, marking the end of their lengthyfeud.

The fourth bout was a tag team match pittingthe Can-Am Express againstLouie Spicolli andMikey Whipwreck. The bout was won by The Can-Am Express whenPhil Lafon pinned Spicolli following acobra clutch suplex.[3][4]

The fifth bout was a singles match betweenDevon Storm andSteve Williams. Williams won the bout by pinning Storm following anOklahoma Stampede. Following the match,the Eliminators attacked Williams untilTommy Dreamer came to the ring and drove them off.[3][4]

The sixth bout wasECW World Tag Team Championsthe Gangstas defend their titles againstShane Douglas (the then-ECW Television Champion) and a mystery partner, who was revealed to beSammy the Silk. The bout was won by the Gangstas, withNew Jack pinning Silk following achair shot from the top rope. Following the match, Douglas attacked Silk.[3][4]

The seventh bout was a singles match betweenPerry Saturn andPitbull #2. The bout was won by Pitbull #2, who pinned Saturn using aschoolboy.[3][4]

The eighth bout was afalls count anywhere tag team match pittingBrian Lee andRaven againstthe Sandman andTommy Dreamer. Raven and Lee were accompanied to the ring by The Sandman's estranged wifeLori and son Tyler, who had become followers of Raven. Towards the end of the match, The Sandman attempted to hit Raven with aSingapore cane, only for Raven to pull Tyler in front of him as ahuman shield. Dreamer and The Sandman went on to win the match when The Sandman pinned Raven following aDDT.[3][4]

The main event was a singles match betweenRob Van Dam andSabu, marking the final match of theirfeud. Sabu won the match by pinfall following atriple jump moonsault. Following the match, as Sabu and Van Dam went to shake hands, they were attacked by the Can-Am Express, their opponents for the following night atWhen Worlds Collide.[3][4]
