University is acommunity inMinneapolis. It is composed of seven smaller neighborhoods. It also contains theUniversity of Minnesota campus. Most of the community is commonly referred to asSoutheast Minneapolis due street names with a SE suffix.[3]

The University community contains most ofMinneapolis City Council Ward 2, currently represented byRobin Wonsley. It also contains pieces of Wards 1, 3, and 6, represented byElliott Payne,Michael Rainville, andJamal Osman, respectively. In theMinnesota Legislature, it contains district 60B and parts of districts 59B and 60A.
