University—Rosedale is a federalelectoral district inOntario, Canada, that has been represented in theHouse of Commons of Canada since 2015. The riding is currently represented byChrystia Freeland, former Minister of Finance and formerdeputy prime minister of Canada.
University—Rosedale was created by the2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the call of the42nd Canadian federal election in October 2015.[2] The riding was created out of the northern parts of the electoral districts ofTrinity—Spadina andToronto Centre.[3]
The riding includes the entireSt. George campus of theUniversity of Toronto, plus theToronto neighbourhoods ofRosedale,Little Italy,the Annex andYorkville, among others, plus the northwestern portion ofDowntown Toronto.
