On 17 October 2022, NBCUniversal that Universal+, would be launched in France, and stated that Universal+ uses the same content and platform that is used on the US streaming servicePeacock, presenting it as a French version of Peacock. The service was launched on November 17, 2022.[8][9][10][11]
