Umarkhed Assembly constituency is one of the 288 constituencies of the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha[1] and one of the seven which are located inYavatmal district of theIndian state ofMaharashtra. It is reserved for candidates from the Scheduled Castes.
It is a part ofHingoli Lok Sabha constituency along with five other Vidhan Sabha constituencies, vizBasmath,Kalamnuri andHingoli fromHingoli district andKinwat andHadgaon fromNanded district.
The remaining constituencies from Yavatmal district,Ralegaon (ST),Yavatmal (ST),Digras andPusad are part ofYavatmal-Washim Lok Sabha constituency whileWani and Arni (SC) are part ofChandrapur Lok Sabha constituency.[2]
