Ugo Blanchet (born 5 January 1999) is a French professionaltennis player who plays mostly on theATP Challenger Tour.He has a career highATP singles ranking of world No. 139 achieved on 30 September 2024. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 387 achieved on 15 July 2024.[2]
In February, Blanchet made hisATP Tour debut at the2022 Open 13 in Marseille after receiving a wildcard into the doubles main draw withTimo Legout. The pair went on to reach the quarterfinals, earning Blanchet his firstATP Tour doubles win.
In October, Blanchet won his maidenChallenger title at the2023 Málaga Open as a qualifier, defeatingMattia Bellucci in the final.[3] In November, Blanchet recorded his second ATP career win in doubles at the2023 Moselle Open, playing along withMatteo Martineau, after the pair received a wildcard to the main draw.
In January, Blanchet made his singles debut on theATP Tour as a qualifier at the2024 Open Sud de France inMontpellier, losing toGrégoire Barrère in the first round.[4]
In April, Blanchet reached his second careerChallenger final inOeiras, Portugal, losing to fourth seedFrancisco Comesaña in the final.[5]
In July, Blanchet won his first singles main draw match on theATP Tour at theHamburg Open as a qualifier, defeatingAlexei Popyrin in the first round.[6] As a result, he entered the top 150 in the singles rankings at No. 145 on 22 July 2024.[2]
Blanchet won his secondChallenger title at theKoblenz Challenger, defeatingLuca Nardi in the final which went to a deciding set tiebreak.[7][8]
In May, Blanchet made his Grand Slam main draw debut at the2025 French Open as a qualifier.[9] He lost toHugo Gaston in the first round.[10]
In July, Blanchet made hisMasters 1000 debut as a qualifier at the2025 Canada Open in Toronto.[11] He lost in the first round toRoman Safiullin.[12]
In August, ranked No. 184, Blanchet made his2025 US Open debut as a qualifier, and recorded his firstGrand Slam win by defeatingFábián Marozsán in the first round.[13] He then defeated sixteenth seedJakub Menšík, his first top 20 win, to reach a major third round for the first time.[14]In September, Blanchet also made his debut as a qualifier at the2025 Shanghai Masters.[15]
