"Ubique" is a poem byRudyard Kipling about theBoer War, published inThe Five Nations in 1903.[1]T. S. Eliot included the poem in his 1941 collectionA Choice of Kipling's Verse.
Ubique ("everywhere" inLatin) is the motto of theRoyal Artillery[2] and theRoyal Engineers.[3] It was given to them byKing William IV in 1832 and in 1833 it was further granted as a battle honour to the Royal Artillery in place of all former and later battle honours they could receive. In 1926, KingGeorge V granted theRoyal Canadian Artillery permission to use "Ubique" in its motto.[4]
