USSLST-935 was anLST-542-classtank landing ship in theUnited States Navy. Like many of her class, she was not named and is properly referred to by her hull designation.
LST-935 was laid down on 3 July 1944, atHingham, Massachusetts, by theBethlehem-Hingham Shipyard; launched on 5 August 1944; and commissioned on 29 August 1944.[3][2]
During World War II,LST-935 was assigned to theAsiatic-Pacific theater and participated in thePalawan Island landings in March 1945, theMindanao Island landings in March and April 1945, theVisayan Island landings in April 1945, and theBalikpapan operation in June and July 1945.[3]
Following the war,LST-935 performed occupation duty in theFar East and saw service inChina until mid-April 1946. She was decommissioned on 2 July 1946, and struck from theNavy list on 15 August, that same year. The ship was sold toConsolidated Builders, Inc.,Seattle, Washington, on 29 August 1947, for scrapping.[3]
LST-935 earned twobattle star for World War II service.[3]
