A heavyweight bout between formerUFC Heavyweight Championship challengerDerrick Lewis andRodrigo Nascimento headlined the event.[4]

A light heavyweight bout betweenCarlos Ulberg andAlonzo Menifield was expected to take place atUFC Fight Night: Blanchfield vs. Fiorot on March 30, but it was moved to this event due to undisclosed reasons.[5]

A lightweight bout betweenMatt Frevola andMichael Johnson was expected to take place at the event, but it was scrapped after Johnson withdrew.[6]

A welterweight bout betweenJared Gooden andKevin Jousset was scheduled for the event.[7] However, for medical reasons, Gooden was unable to compete and the bout was cancelled.[8]
