A women's bantamweight bout betweenKetlen Vieira and formerStrikeforce andUFC Women's Bantamweight ChampionMiesha Tate headlined the event.[3] The pairing was originally expected to take place atUFC Fight Night: Ladd vs. Dumont, but it was pulled from the card when Tatetested positive for COVID-19.[4]

A bantamweight bout betweenRani Yahya andKyung Ho Kang took place at this event.[5] They were originally scheduled to meet atUFC on ESPN: Hall vs. Strickland, but Yahya tested positive for COVID-19 and the pairing was postponed.[6]

A women's flyweight bout betweenJoanne Wood andAlexa Grasso was scheduled for the event.[7] However, Grasso was forced to pull out from the event due to injury and was replaced byTaila Santos.[8]
