A welterweight bout between formerUFC Welterweight ChampionLeon Edwards andJack Della Maddalena was originally scheduled to headline the event.[4] However, Della Maddalena was pulled from the contest in order to face current welterweight championBelal Muhammad atUFC 315 and was replaced bySean Brady.[5]
A light heavyweight bout betweenAlonzo Menifield and Oumar Sy was scheduled for this event.[6] However, Sy withdrew from the fight due to an injury, so Menifield was moved toUFC Fight Night: Cejudo vs. Song in February against promotional newcomer Julius Walker.[7]
A women's strawweight bout betweenMolly McCann and Istela Nunes was scheduled for this event.[8] However, Nunes withdrew from the fight for unknown reasons and was replaced by promotional newcomer Alexia Thainara.[9]
