This is abibliography of U.S. congressionalmemoirs by former and currentU.S. representatives.[1][2]The United States House of Representatives is one of the two houses of theUnited States Congress, thebicamerallegislature which also includes theSenate.

The composition and powers of the House are established inArticle One of theConstitution. The major power of the House is to passfederallegislation that affects the entirecountry, although itsbills must also be passed by the Senate and further agreed to by thepresident before becoming law (unless both the House and Senate re-pass the legislation with a two-thirdsmajority in each chamber). Eachstate receivesrepresentation in the House in proportion to itspopulation but is entitled to at least onerepresentative. Thetotal number of voting representatives isfixed by law at 435.[3] Each representative serves for a two-year term. TheSpeaker of the United States House of Representatives, traditionally the leader of the majority party, is the presiding officer of the chamber, elected by the members of the House.
