TheTurkey River is a 6.1-mile-long (9.8 km)[1]stream located in southernNew Hampshire in theUnited States. It is atributary of theMerrimack River, which flows to theGulf of Maine.
The source of the Turkey River is the outlet ofLittle Turkey Pond inConcord, New Hampshire. The river travels southeast through the campus ofSt. Paul's School, winding through the outskirts of Concord, and enteringBow before joining the Merrimack near the junction ofInterstate 93 andInterstate 89. In May 2006 record amounts of rainfall over two days caused the Turkey River toflood the campus of St. Paul's School,[2][3] forcing the school year to be ended prematurely.[4]
