Tunxis State Forest is astate forest located in thetowns ofHartland,Barkhamsted, andGranby inConnecticut, United States. The forest surroundsBarkhamsted Reservoir and borders theGranville State Forest inMassachusetts.[3] The forest is used for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, fishing, hunting, andletterboxing. Several trails cross the forest, including the northern end of theblue-blazedTunxis Trail.[4]
