TheTunisia national ice hockey team (Arabic:منتخب تونس لهوكي الجليد,French:Équipe de Tunisie de hockey sur glace) is the national men'sice hockey team ofTunisia. The team is controlled by theTunisian Ice Hockey Association and has been an associate member of theInternational Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 22 September 2021.[2][3][4][5][6][7] Tunisia is currently not ranked in theIIHF World Ranking and has not entered in anyIIHF World Championship events.
The Tunisian Ice Hockey Association was founded in 2009.[8] On 14 June 2014, the national team played its first unofficial game against a French club team, Coqs de Courbevoie, inCourbevoie, France. They were defeated by the Coqs 6–5.[9] On 22 September 2021, Tunisia became an official member of the IIHF.[7]
After a long period of inactivity, Tunisia played its first international tournament at the2023 Arab Cup in Kuwait.[10][11][12]
