Ancient Lycian town

Trysa orTryssa was a town ofancient Lycia, located betweenCyaneae andMyra.[1] It has been archaeologically examined, and among the finds areLycian tombs, most notably theHeroon of Trysa.[2]Greek inscriptions which were found there show that there was a cult ofZeus Eleutherios and ofHelios at Trysa.[3]The town was also inhabited during theByzantine period and there was a church on the acropolis.[3]

Its site is located near the modern town ofGölbaşı,Asiatic Turkey.[1][4]
