Troy Spring State Park is aFlorida State Park, located approximately six miles north ofBranford, offUS 27. It contains one of the state's 33 first magnitudesprings.
At the bottom of the Troy Spring is the sunkenConfederate sidewheelpaddle steamerMadison, which had been owned and captained by James Felix Tucker. TuckerscuttledMadison in September 1863 to prevent her from falling intoUnion hands during theAmerican Civil War.[1][2][3]
