Troglocladodus (meaning 'caveCladodus' or 'cave branching-tooth')[1] is an extinct genus ofcartilaginous fish in the familyCtenacanthidae. Remains are known fromMammoth Cave,Kentucky, inlimestone deposits dated to theMississippian subperiod of theCarboniferous period. A single species has been identified,Troglocladodus trimblei, which is based on isolated teeth.[1][2]
