Triple M Bendigo (officialcallsign: 3BBO) is acommercial radio station owned and operated bySouthern Cross Austereo as part of theTriple M network. It broadcasts toCentral Victoria from studios in theBendigo suburb ofGolden Square.
The station was founded in 1931 byAWA as 3BO, initially on theAM band at a frequency of 970kilohertz,[2][3] before converting to theFM band as 3BO FM on 5 April 1993.[4] In 1987 it was sold by AWA toWesgo.[5] It was sold again in 1992.[6]
On 15 December 2016, it was rebranded Triple M.[7]
Triple M's Golden Square studios produce and air local programs from 6 am–10 am weekdays, including a four-hour breakfast show presented by Bryan Coghlan and Jules Greenhalf.[8] Network programming comes from studios inAlbury, theGold Coast,Melbourne andSydney.
On the 9 January 2026, Triple M Bendigo’s transmitter atMount Alexander was damaged during theVictorian bushfires, causing the station to go off air terrestrially. This also caused sister stationHit91.9 to go off air, as well asABC Central Victoria and all digital TV services.[9]
