It is made withpotatoes,cabbage and pork meat, and resemblesbubble and squeak.[1] The name, meaning “mashed” or “chopped”, is thepast participle of theCatalan wordtrinxar, which means "to slice". It is sometimes served withsalt herring or eaten on its own withbread.[2]
