TheTrichinopoly Group is a geologicalformation in India whose strata date back to theLate Cretaceous. It lies between theOotatoor andAriyalur Groups. It is broad in its southern extremity but thins as it gradually proceeds northwards as it ultimately meets theAriyalur Group.[1]Dinosaur remains are among thefossils that have been recovered from the formation.[2]
