Trenayvian Amos (born March 3, 2002) is an American professionalfootballcornerback for theWashington Commanders of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theLouisiana Ragin' Cajuns,Alabama Crimson Tide, andOle Miss Rebels. Amos was selected by the Commanders in the second round of the2025 NFL draft.
Amos was born on March 3, 2002, inNew Iberia, Louisiana.[1] He attendedCatholic High School in New Iberia, where he playedquarterback andcornerback and was a state champion in thelong jump.[2][3] Amos committed to playcollege football to the play for theRagin' Cajuns at theUniversity of Louisiana at Lafayette.[4]
Amos played in 34 games over three years at Louisiana from 2020 to 2022, recording 59 tackles and oneinterception.[5] After the 2022 season, he transferred to play for theCrimson Tide at theUniversity of Alabama.[6] In his lone season at Alabama, he played in all 14 games with one start and had 12 tackles.[7][8] After the season, he transferred again to play for theRebels at theUniversity of Mississippi (Ole Miss).[9][10]

Amos was selected by theWashington Commanders in the second round (61st overall) of the2025 NFL draft.[14] He signed his four-year rookie contract on July 18, 2025.[15] In the Week 10 loss to theDetroit Lions, Amos suffered afracturedfibula while trying to tacklerunning back,Jahmyr Gibbs.[16] The Commanders placed him oninjured reserve on November 11, 2025.[17]
