Trevor Clifford Wintle (born 10 January 1940) is an English former internationalrugby union player.

Born inForest of Dean, Wintle attended Lydney Grammar School and studied medicine at theUniversity of Cambridge, winning rugby blues in 1960 and 1961. He then came down to London and played withRosslyn Park and St. Mary's Hospital.[1] After qualifying as a doctor, Wintle joined a hospital in Northampton and played forNorthampton RFC.[2]

Wintle was capped five times as a scrum-half forEngland. He made his debut against Scotland in the1966 Five Nations and partneredJohn Finlan at half-back for all four of England's1969 Five Nations matches.[3]
