Transplants is the debut studio album by the Americanpunk rock/hip hop bandTransplants. It was released on October 22, 2002, viaHellcat Records. Audio production of the twelve-track record was handled byTim Armstrong andDave Carlock.Rancid'sMatt Freeman andLars Frederiksen,The Slackers'Vic Ruggiero,The Distillers'Brody Dalle,AFI'sDavey Havok,Funkdoobiest's Son Doobie,The Nerve Agents' Eric Ozenne, andSkarhead'sDanny Diablo made their appearances on the album as additional musicians and vocalists.
The album peaked at No. 96 on theBillboard 200[6] and No. 1 on theIndependent Albums chart.[7] Its lead single, "Diamonds and Guns", peaked at No. 19 on theModern Rock Tracks chart,[8] No. 27 on theUK Singles Chart,[9] and was most played as background music in olderGarnier Fructis TV commercials.[10] The second single of the album, "D.J. D.J." peaked at #49 on theUK Singles Chart.[11] Both its singles are featured inPaul Hunter's 2003 filmBulletproof Monk. The song "California Babylon" is included in the 2003 video gameTony Hawk's Underground.[12]
