Tracy Carol Joseph (néeGoddard, born 29 November 1969)[1] is a British former athlete who competed in the400 metres andlong jump. She won a bronze medal4 × 400 metres relay at the1993 World Championships representing Great Britain, and a gold medal in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the1994 Commonwealth Games representing England. She was also a member of the British quartet that won at the1994 European Cup.

Career

In 1991, Goddard came second behind Sandra Leigh in the400 metres event at the 1991UK Athletics Championships.[2] Goddard competed at the1993 World Championships in Athletics inStuttgart, winning a bronze medal in the4 × 400 metres relay, competing withLinda Keough,Phylis Smith andSally Gunnell.[3][4] She was in the England team that won the 4 x 400 metres relay at the1994 Commonwealth Games inVictoria, along with Keough, Smith and Gunnell, after the Australian team were disqualified.[1][5] Joseph came third in thelong jump event at the1997 British Athletics Championships,[2] and fifth in thelong jump event at the1998 Commonwealth Games.[6]
