Tommy Skjerven (born 25 July 1967) is a Norwegianfootball referee fromKaupanger. He debuted as a referee in 1984, and served as aFIFA referee from 2001[1] until 2012.[2] He is no longer included on the FIFA list as of 2013,[3] because he reached the international retirement age of 45 in 2012. Skjerven representsKaupanger IL. Skjerven was the main referee in the cup final betweenOdd Grenland andVålerenga in 2002. His day job is working fornoreg.no inHermansverk inLeikanger Municipality.
At international level, Skjerven officiated in competitions including qualifying matches forEuro 2008,[4]Euro 2012,[5] and2010 World Cup qualifiers.[6] He was also a referee inqualifying for the 2003 Women's World Cup,[7] and a fourth official in qualifiers for four World Cups.[1][8][9][2]
