Tommaso Menoncello (Italian pronunciation:[menonˈtʃɛllo]; born 20 August 2002) is an Italian professionalrugby union player who playscentre for theItaly national rugby union team and forBenetton of theUnited Rugby Championship.[1][2]

Club career

Menoncello has previously played for clubs such asPaese in the past. For2020–21 Pro14 and initially for2021–22 United Rugby Championship seasons, he was named asPermit Player forBenetton Rugby.[3][4][5]

International career

Selected withF.I.R. Academy, in June 2021 Menoncello was named inItaly Under 20 squad for2021 Six Nations Under 20s Championship.[6][7][8]He was selected byAlessandro Troncon to be part of anItaly A 28-man squad for the November2021 end-of-year rugby union internationals.[9]

Menoncello was selected byKieran Crowley to be part of anItaly 33-man squad for the2022 Six Nations Championship. He made his debut againstFrance, where he scored a try and became the youngest try-scorer in the history of thetournament, at the age of 19 years and 170 days.[10][11]

Menoncello was named the2024 Six NationsPlayer of the Championship.[12]
