Tom Hooper (born 29 January 2001)[1] is an Australianrugby union player who plays for theBrumbies inSuper Rugby. He plays as either alock orflanker.
Hooper was named in the Brumbies squad for theSuper Rugby Trans-Tasman and the following2021 Super Rugby AU season.[2] He made his debut in round 1 ofSuper Rugby Trans-Tasman in the match against theCrusaders and played all 5 games, coming off the bench for all games.[3] In 2021 Hooper made 12 appearances including 2 starts in the finals series.[4]
In the2023 Super Rugby Pacific season Hooper started the season injured, making his season debut in Round 11, playing the remaining 7 games of the season including 2 games in the finals.
Hooper will leave the Brumbies at the end of the 2025 season to join thePremiership clubExeter Chiefs in England.[5]
In July 2023 Hooper was selected for theAustralian Wallabies, starting at number 6 againstSouth Africa.[6] He earned another 2 caps againstNew Zealand, scoring a try in the secondBledisloe Cup test and leading the tackle count in both tests.[7]
In August 2023 Hooper was named in the Wallabies squad for the2023 Rugby World Cup.[8]
