Tolbert "Red" Brown was acollege football player. He was the brother ofJohnny Mack Brown.[1] Brown was selectedAll-Southern by some writers in 1926.[2]

Brown was a native ofDothan, Alabama, the third of nine children.[3] He was captain of the Dothan High football team in 1923.[4]
