Todirostrum is agenus ofNeotropical birds in the New World flycatcherfamilyTyrannidae.
The genusTodirostrum was erected in 1831 by the French naturalistRené Lesson.[1] Thetype species was designated as thecommon tody-flycatcher byGeorge Robert Gray in 1840.[2][3] The name combines the genusTodus introduced byMathurin Jacques Brisson in 1760 with theLatinrostrum meaning "bill".[4]
