Tired of England is the first single fromRomance at Short Notice, the second album byDirty Pretty Things, which was released on 23 June 2008.[1]

The chorus is reminiscent ofPanic byThe Smiths.

The video for the song is a reference to the 1973 cult British movieThe Wicker Man.

It was leaked at high quality onto networking peers on 10 May 2008.

The single was first played byZane Lowe on his Radio 1 show on 13 May 2008.[2]
