Ecuador Time is atUTC-05:00[1] and has nodaylight saving, except for a brief period from late 1992 to early 1993 during the government of presidentSixto Durán Ballén.[2]Galápagos Province observed Ecuador Time until 1986, when it switched toGalápagos Time (GALT), atUTC-06:00.[1]
