Longest graduated fromJH Rose High School. He earned hisbachelor's degree in 2013 fromUniversity of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and hisJuris Doctor degree in 2018, fromUniversity of North Carolina School of Law. He is aPresbyterian and is a lawyer. He was born inGreenville, North Carolina and raised inElizabeth City, North Carolina. His father was a public school teacher.[citation needed]
