Timothy Lee Horner (born August 19, 1959) is an American retiredprofessional wrestler, who was one half ofThe Lightning Express withBrad Armstrong.[2]

Early career (1978–1988)

Tim Horner started wrestling in 1978 in theAlabama territory.[citation needed]

Jim Crockett Promotions (1984–1988)

Horner signed toJim Crockett Promotions in 1984, and formed TheLightning Express withBrad Armstrong.[3] They won theUniversal Wrestling Federation tag team title in 1987, defeatingSting andRick Steiner. They also won theNational Wrestling Alliance's National Tag Team title.[3][4][5]

World Wrestling Federation (1988–1989)

Tim Horner signed withWWF in late 1988 and left in late 1989.[6] On televised matches he was used as ajobber in both singles and tag-team matches, while at house shows he was frequently victorious over other jobbers includingDanny Davis,Jose Estrada,Barry Horowitz,Jose Luis Rivera,Iron Mike Sharpe,Tom Magee,Steve Lombardi, andJohnny K-9 (Taras Bulba).[6][7]

World Championship Wrestling / Smoky Mountain Wrestling (1990–1995)

In the 1990s, Horner wrestled forWorld Championship Wrestling as the masked "Star Blazer",[8] and forSmoky Mountain Wrestling (SMW). In SMW, he also played the original "Kendo the Samurai"[2] (a maskedsamuraigimmick, also used byScott Antol, Brian Logan, Dave Pillman and others) managed byDaryl Van Horne.

Late career

After WCW, he occasionally wrestled on independent shows inGeorgia andTennessee. He then worked inWorld Wrestling Entertainment as aproducer for itsSmackDown! brand, until October 26, 2006. On June 16, 2013, he teamed withTom Prichard to defeatBob Orton, Jr. andGeorge South at the Brad Armstrong Memorial Event.[9]

On May 1, 2018, he was elected County Commissioner inHamblen County, Tennessee.[1]
