TheTilawa (Arabic:تِلَاوَة) is a recitation of the successiveverses of theQur'ān in a standardized and proven manner according to the rules of theten recitations.[1][2]
One of the meanings of theTilawa of the Quran is that theqāriʾ who reads must rationalize what they are reading and follow the directions contained in what they are reading.[5][6]
In the science oftajweed, theqāriʾ needs to know the levels or ranks in which they recite thetilawa, and these four ranks are allmubah or permissible, which are:[7][8]
Mastering thetilawa recitation requires knowing its ranks and levels in order to apply the requirements of that while readingverses of theQuran seeking reward fromAllah Almighty.[17][18]
This is because mastering thetarteel is done through reading the Quran calmly and without haste, while contemplating the meanings and taking into account the provisions of intonation, and this is a characteristic inherent in all levels of clear reading.[19][20]
The mastery ofTadweer is by mediating recitation betweenTahqeeq andHadr, taking into account the provisions ofTajweed, and comes afterTarteel in the second place of preference.[21][22]
Good performance inTahqeeq is by giving each letter of the verses its right to satisfy the tide and achieve the whisper, which is more reassuring thanTarteel, which is the desirable position of teaching, but it must be avoided from stretching and excessive satisfaction of pronunciation movements; So as not to generate some letters from it, from exaggerated singing to other things that are not correct in Quran recitation.[23][24]
The distinguished performance of theHadr rank is by reading the verses quickly, taking into account the provisions ofTajweed from the letters and qualities of words, in contrast to the rank ofTahqeeq.[25][26]
TheSujud Tilawa [ar] is done during theTilawa recitation of theQuran individually or in theHizb Rateb or theSalka, includingSalah in congregation, because there are fifteen places whereMuslims believe, whenMuhammad recited a certain verse (ayah), he۩ prostrated asujud to Allah Almighty.[27][28]
