Tilak Maidan is amulti-purpose stadium located inVasco da Gama,Goa,India.[2][3] It is used mostly forfootball matches and regularly hostsI-League andGoa Professional League matches. It also hosted theIndian Super League matches from 2020 till 2022 due toCOVID-19 pandemic.[4] The goal stands on the stadium are referred to asHarbour End andCity End.[citation needed]

Overview

The venue has the capacity toaccommodate 5,000 spectators.[5] The Group stage of thefootball event during2014 Lusofonia Games was held here.[6] The stadium is maintained by the Sports Authority of Goa.[7]It has been upgradedsatisfactorily to ensure most FIFA standards aremaintained. Facilities include player changing rooms andlounge, dope control rooms and a media centre.The Stadium is used byChurchill Brothers S.C.,Dempo S.C.,Salgaocar S.C.,Sporting Clube de Goa andVasco S.C. andIndian Arrows. The stadium was serving as one of the venues of theIndian Super League due to theCOVID-19 pandemic in India.[8][9]
