Tierra de Badajoz is acomarca in theprovince of Badajoz in theautonomous community ofExtremadura, westernSpain. The majority of its population, amounting to around 177,000 inhabitants, lives in the capital, themunicipality ofBadajoz, and the immediate surrounding area.
The comarca is situated in the northwestern part of the province, bordering to the north with the neighbouringprovince of Cáceres. It bordersPortugal to the west,Tierra de Mérida - Vegas Bajas to the east, andLlanos de Olivenza andTierra de Barros to the south.
