Thomson Sandlands Allan (born 5 October 1946) is a Scottish former professionalfootballer who played as agoalkeeper.
Allan began his career atHibernian in 1963, where he was aLeague Cup runner-up in1968-69. He joinedDundee in 1971 and collected his only winner's medal atHampden Park, when the Dark Blues defeatedCeltic 1–0 in the1973 Scottish League Cup Final.
Allan was called up to theScotland squad that season, earning his only twocaps in warm-up matches for the1974 FIFA World Cup. He was selected in the squad forWest Germany but was considered back-up toLeeds United'sDavid Harvey and did not play during the tournament.
Allan reverted to part-time status when he started working atBritish Leyland'sBathgate plant and wound down his career with brief spells atMeadowbank Thistle,Heart of Midlothian,Falkirk andEast Stirlingshire before retiring in 1983.
