TheThomas Hollinshead House, also known as theEves House and theStow House, is located at 18 West Stow Road near theMarlton section ofEvesham Township inBurlington County, New Jersey, United States. The historicGeorgian house was built in 1776 and was added to theNational Register of Historic Places on August 14, 1992, for its significance in architecture.[1][3] It was listed as part of the Historic Resources of Evesham Township, New Jersey,Multiple Property Submission (MPS).[4]
The two and one-half story brick house was built in 1776 by Thomas Hollinshead, on land his grandfather, Thomas Eves, gave to him.[3] According to the multiple property submission, it is possibly the oldest known surviving house in the township.[4] During theAmerican Revolutionary War, British soldiers leaving Philadelphia encamped here on the night of June 19, 1778.[3]
