Thomas Edward Bray (born April 30, 1954) is an American actor and writer perhaps best known for his role as Murray "Boz" Bozinsky in the detective TV seriesRiptide.[2] He made his film debut in theslasher filmThe Prowler (1981) and later appeared inJohn Carpenter'sPrince of Darkness (1987), andThe Horror Show (1989). His work has been primarily in television, and his most recent credit was in 2012 on an episode of theTNT seriesLeverage.

Bray was a drama teacher and also taughttelevision studies.

Life and career

Bray was born and raised in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.[1] His first television role was in the short-lived TV seriesBreaking Away as Cyril. Later on in the 1980s, he starred in the TV seriesHarry withAlan Arkin. In 1990, he did the voice of Wilbur Finletter in the cartoon seriesAttack of the Killer Tomatoes: The Animated Series and voices in other animated works.

His first feature film was in 1981'sThe Prowler. He appeared in other films: the comedyBurglar, directorJohn Carpenter'sPrince of Darkness,DeepStar Six, andThe Horror Show. He appeared in the TV movieLady Mobster.

He became a writer and producer for television, includingDesigning Women,Now and Again,Fired Up, andNash Bridges.

He was a drama teacher at Rachel Carson Middle School and taughttelevision studies at Portland State University.[citation needed] He is the father to three children.[citation needed]

Bray retired from his teaching career in 2019 after 13 years.[citation needed]
