This Man Dawson is asyndicateddramatelevision series that was broadcast during 1959–60, starringKeith Andes as a formerUnited States Marine Corpscolonel hired to clean uppolice corruption in an undisclosedAmericancity.[1] The series was partly inspired by Andes’Universal StudiosfilmDamn Citizen (1958), in which he played crusadingLouisiana State Police SuperintendentFrancis C. Grevemberg.[citation needed] It was a production ofZiv Television.[2]
The program narrator isWilliam Conrad, who was the voice on theradio version ofGunsmoke and later the narrator ofThe Fugitive, and who later starred inCBS'Cannondetective series. Theblack and white half-hour series was filmed byZiv, later part ofMGM Television.[citation needed]
