Thienobenzodiazepine is aheterocyclic compound containing adiazepine ring fused to athiophene ring and abenzene ring. Thienobenzodiazepine forms the central core of pharmaceutical drugs includingatypical antipsychoticolanzapine (Zyprexa) andantimuscarinictelenzepine. Thienobenzodiazepines act relatively selectively at the α2 subunit of theGABAA receptor.[1]
